With my team (Jake, Joe, Laney, and I) in my Graphic Design I class, we designed an album release brand identity guide for an artist of our choice, Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" album release. Our initial research process included creating customer personas of listeners based on data and our target audience (people who love soulful, nostalgic, powerful music and practice actions in their daily life that reflect the why behind that). Based off of our research, we stepped into the ideation phase which included mind-maps and 50 sketches at minimum each. Jake's heart-shaped "MG" design as seen in the photos became our main logo. The final deliverables included fully mocked up assets for a CD, an album cover, a tour poster, a vinyl & vinyl center, merch (stickers, clothing, accessories), social media posts, and more. The physical final deliverables that we were able to produce were 24"x36" posters and a bunch of buttons. This was such a cool project, and I learned a lot working with such a cool team.
